3 Tips to Stay More Consistent

by | Fat Loss, Motivation

I talk to women everyday who tell me that they struggle to stay consistent with their fitness and nutrition routines.

They may start out strong, but easily get discouraged when life gets busy or the scale barely budges.

“If only I were more motivated!”

“If only I had more discipline!”

They exclaim.

Sound familiar?

If so, you’re not alone.

But here’s the truth. Here’s what most people miss:

  1. Spending more time working out doesn’t mean you’ll get better results. Actually, spending too much time doing the wrong things can stall your results.
  2. Following a super strict diet is actually a better predictor of weight gain in the long run. They are too hard to stick to, so most people will fall off within days or weeks, and add the weight back on (and often a few extra pounds!)
  3. Motivation comes and goes. No one feels motivated all the time and you’re just not going to feel motivated all the time. So waiting until motivation strikes is the exact opposite of what we should be doing.

So yes, women on these super strict diets and extreme workout programs may start out super pumped…and yes they’ll likely lose some weight temporarily…however, sticking to this type of plan is just too difficult and you’re pretty much guaranteed to fall off the wagon and lose motivation because it’s too overwhelming.

You’ll end up even more frustrated and wonder if they should just give up altogether.

And this yo-yo dieting pattern that most trainers, gyms, and companies keep you on is so frustrating to me too…

…especially since I’ve been there myself…losing and gaining the same weight over and over again!

But here’s the thing…no one has to follow an extreme program to get results! We know this approach doesn’t work.

Trying to fit long workouts into your busy schedule isn’t realistic.

Yeah, it’s easy to do at first when your motivation is strong, but as soon as you get too busy and life gets in the way your workouts fall to the wayside.

And yeah those extreme diets work initially, but you end up gaining the weight back in the long run when you return to old habits.

And so you go back on that diet again, but each time you do your metabolism slows down making it even more difficult to lose the weight each time until eventually, you can’t seem to lose weight anymore.

But we know it just doesn’t work that way.

We don’t just do a program for 8 or 12 weeks, but rather find a solution that is easy to keep following that fits into our lifestyle so we can get the weight off and keep it off for good.

That’s why I’m so excited to officially announce the Foxy Body Club!

It’s a program I’ve been working on for a long time and am so excited to open to the public 😉 Join an amazing community of supportive women to help you stay consistent so you get the fit body you always wanted.
