How to Make Your Workout Routine Stick

by | Fitness, Motivation

It’s too easy to overcomplicate things when it comes to health and fitness…

…thinking you have to workout for an hour or two every day…

…or that you have to do activities you hate in order to get fit.

But this just isn’t the case.

To make your workout routine stick here are a few things to try:

It’s too easy to overcomplicate things when it comes to health and fitness…

…thinking you have to workout for an hour or two every day…

…or that you have to do activities you hate in order to get fit.

But this just isn’t

1) Make Your Workouts Shorter

Yes, you heard me right.

If you’re having trouble staying consistent, try working out for LESS time.

A shorter workout more often is going to be better than one you never do.

And actually, when you really push and challenge yourself you can get so much more out of your workouts.

That’s why all the workouts we do at BFF are only 45 minutes long.

It doesn’t take super long workouts to get amazing results.

I’ve seen it firsthand with 100’s of women I’ve worked with over the years who train 3-4 days per week for just 45 minutes, yet are fitting into their clothes, getting toned, and feeling more confident!

2) Find Activities You Enjoy

I love yoga and foam rolling. I’m not a huge fan of running, but don’t mind the occasional sprints if I am going to run.

I love to walk.

I love to use dumbbells, bands, and kettlebells for strength training and love hopping into our group workouts at the gym for extra motivation.

I like shorter workouts and never spend more than 45 minutes working.

I like to be goofy and dance around the house.

So what’s my point here?

Find things you enjoy.

Don’t do things because you “feel like you have to”…

…in the long run you just won’t stick to it them!

There’s so many different ways to get fit and stay active so find what works for you that you look forward to and that keeps you motivated and consistent!

3) Enlist Social Support

Surround yourself with others that motivate you.

It could be a friend or a group of amazing, positive women like we have in the free Forever Fat Loss Facebook Group.

Wherever you can get that little extra push from others who want to see you be successful, take it!

That extra motivation can go A LONG way in keeping you on track!

Doing it alone makes it easy to give up when things get rough so enlist that support team.

And on the other hand stay away from the nay-sayers who will just put you down and crush your confidence.

So which step will you take action on?
