Did you play an instrument when you were younger?
I played the clarinet from 5th grade through 8th grade.
And I actually got really good at it.
But not right from the start.
I was terrible when I started.
I didn’t know how to read music, what keys to push, or how long to hold the notes.
And even once I learned all that I still had a lot of work to do to get better.
I had to practice, practice, practice.
Weight loss is very similar to learning to play an instrument.
You can have everything you need right there at your fingertips…
…I mean come on, you probably KNOW what to do, you’re just not doing it, am I right?
It’s really more about practicing what you know.
Learning how to make it work for you and your life.
Knowing you won’t be perfect.
Or that you’ll even mess up.
And having LOTS of patience.
That’s all part of the journey.
And it’s why all those crash diets don’t work.
They give you lots of rules to follow, but they don’t teach you how to make it work for you.
Permanent weight loss is about creating habits, not temporarily following a list of rules that don’t even make sense for you.
